I HAVE SEEN MANY OF THESE VIDEOS AND I GOTTA TELL YOU IT NAUSIATES ME TO THINK THAT MOST OF THE PEOPLE THAT VOTED TO HAVE THESE DONT EVEN KNOW SHADOW FLICKER EXISTS. JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU THAT PEOPLE WILL PUT UP WITH, AND DESTROY ANYTHING IF THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF MONEY IS INVOLVED. OF THE 89 WHO VOTED FOR THE TOWERS, I BET HALF OF THEM KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THEM, THEY JUST KNOW ABOUT THE MONEY THAT IS INVOLVED. THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ENJOY LOOKING UP AT OUR MOUNTAINS EVERYDAY ON THEIR WAY HOME EACH DAY, IT'S JUST SAD TO THINK THAT THERE IS 89 OF THEM THAT DONT.

There's actually a charity component to the tree installation. When people sign up for the sweepstakes to win one of the TVs on the tree, Sharp donates $1 to The HOPE Program. The HOPE Program helps unemployed New Yorkers train to find careers that will provide them with sustainable living wages and get them back on their feet. The specific program is to help them find green collar jobs in an environmental field.

The donation will end up being from $50,000 - $100,000...so it's actually pretty big of them.
